How do I transfer a project?

You and your client - you both work with Frazier? Then there is the possibility of handing over a project after writing the audio description.

This is how you hand over a project

Requirements

If no pay-per-use service (e.g. text-to-speech output or automated mix) have been used in the current project, you can transfer it to one of your contacts. You can find details on registering new contacts in the Manage Contacts chapter.

Start transfer

The new owner must agree to the transfer. Therefore it takes place in several steps. First you start the transfer:

  1. Open the project.
  2. Select “Transfer” from the context menu.
  3. In the following dialog, select who should receive the project.
  4. Optional: Write a short message. It will be displayed to the recipient of the project in the email and in the overview.
  5. Optional: Activate the option “Leave the project after transfer”. Makes sense if it is clear that you will never have to open it again after the transfer.
  6. Optional: Enable the “Delete activity log” option. The new owner will not see what you have done with and how long you worked on the project.
  7. Click on “Transfer project”.

If the new owner has activated notifications, the system will now send them an email with the information about the transfer and your optional message.

Note: Since not all users have activated notifications, it is better to contact them separately.

Accept transfer

As soon as a transfer has been started, a new “Transfers” tab will now appear in the sidebar on the left, which lists the request.

The future owner can now agree to the transfer:

  1. Open “Transfers” list.
  2. Select the “Accept” option in the context menu.

The transfer is now complete. If you have notifications enabled, you will receive a confirmation email.

Reject transfer

The future owner can also reject a transfer. This can happen if they doesn’t have any free slots - or it was simply the wrong project…

  1. Open “Transfers” list.
  2. In the context menu, select the “Reject” option.

The transfer is now canceled and the request is closed. If you have notifications enabled, you will receive a confirmation email.

Cancel transfer

If you want to cancel a transfer, you can do that too as long as the future owner has not yet agreed to the transfer.

  1. Open “Transfers” list.
  2. Select the “Cancel” option in the context menu.

The transfer is now canceled and the request is closed. If your contact has notifications enabled, the system will send another email to inform them of the cancellation.

Clean up

The “Transfers” tab remains visible as long as there are any transfer requests. By default, successful, rejected or canceled transfers remain visible, so you can see what happend in the past.

You can remove requests by selecting “Delete” from the context menu. If there are no requests left, the tab “Transfers” will disappear.
