How I add instructions for the speaker?
You can add informations for later recording sessions directly to the manuscript.
Adding instructions
In a Frazier document, you have two options for adding comments or instructions for the recording studio.
“Instructions” text field
The first text field is intended for instructions. They will always appears at the beginning of a description in the manuscript, directly after the timecode. Instructions are not read out.
Inline comments
The second, bigger text area is used for the description and is automatically read out using Text-To-Speech. However, you can also place comments or further instructions in the middle of the description.
- Write an instruction as part of your description.
- Select the part of the text that represents an instruction.
- A small menu will appear directly above the selected text. Click on the second option, called “Comment/Instruction”.
- Optional: Put the selected text in italics.
The text is now slightly grayed out (and written in italics). It will no longer be read aloud.
