How can I edit multiple text blocks at the same time?

The “suitcase” became a “bag”? You got a newly cut version for the film and now all your descriptions are 10 seconds late? In such cases, the editor’s bulk edit helps.

Editing several blocks at the same time

The following actions can be applied to multiple text blocks at the same time.

Find & Replace

This is what you do if you want to correct several identical words in the manuscript.

  1. Click the “List” icon at the top of the toolbar.
  2. Enter the word you want to replace in the text field.
  3. Activate “Bulk Edit” (“Pen” icon at the top right).
  4. Make sure that all text blocks are selected.
  5. Select the “Find & Replace” option from the select box below.
  6. Enter the replacement.
  7. Click on the “Document” icon.

The text blocks are now updated one after the other and new utterances are created.

Shift Timecodes

Sometimes it happens that you have to move several descriptions.

  1. Click the “List” icon at the top of the toolbar.
  2. Activate “Bulk Edit” (“pen” icon).
  3. Mark text blocks to be changed.
  4. Select the “Change Timecode” option from the select box below.

  7. Clicking on the “Fast Forward” icon will move all time blocks forward.
